A Bit About NU'EST
NU'EST is a K-pop boy group which debuted on March 15th, 2012 with the single Face. The group consists of 5 members: JR, Aron, Baekho, Minhyun, and Ren. NU'EST is currently under Pledis Entertainment.
Since debut, Nu’est has released four singles, four mini albums, and two full albums. Recently, they've released a full-length Japanese album and are currently promoting their new mini album in Korea.
JR (Kim Jonghyun)
Leader, Main Rapper & Dancer
His artist name stands for Junior Royal. Born on June 8th, 1995 in Gangneung-so, Gangwon-do. He enjoys manga, anime and video games. He became an idol to fulfill his father's dreams. He takes part in an upcoming Japanese movie, Their Distance. He is a very responsible leader (Kprofiles 2019).
Baekho (Kang Dongho)
Main Vocalist
Born on July 21st, 1995 in Jejudo. He trained in martial arts such as Kumdo and Muay Thai. Despite his intimidating looks, he is actually very kind and owns a soft voice. Baekho did not have intentions to become a trainee, but he ended up debuting after accompanying a friend to Pledis' auditions. He was in the Korean drama, Jeon Woo Chi (Kprofiles 2019).
Minhyun (Hwang Minhyun)
Main Vocalist, Visual
He was born on August 9th, 1995 in Busan-si, Gyeongsang-do. Being 181 cm, Minhyun is the tallest member in the group. He was scouted by Pledis based on his looks. He has been on dramas, including Reckless Family, as well as the upcoming Japanese film, Their Distance. He often nags at the other members (Kprofiles 2019).
Ren (Choi Minki)
Vocalist, Maknae
He was born on November 3rd, 1995 in Busan, Gyeongsang-do. He was also in the drama Jeon Woo Chi and upcoming Japanese film, Their Distance. Ren was often considered an ‘Ice-Princess’ during their debut, but since then, he has shown fans his friendlier side. He often posts sweet messages and cute videos or pictures on social media to show his love towards their fans (Kporfiles 2019).
